In the "Webmaster Help Center" Google describes how to get a Google-friendly site. This is the link:

When you read it and combine it with the other infomation in the Webmaster Help Center there is only one possible conclusion, you need one-way links to your site from relevant websites to get an higher ranking. But when you start working on that you will find out it is very hard to get these one-way links. When other sites give such a link to you, you must have a very special site, because they leak ranking....

B. Now you have one active link to Webmasterslookup and many active links from Webmasterlookup to your sites.
