Japanese competitors first began importing cars to the United Stats in the 70s. Honda was one of the companies who worked relentlessly to make a better car. And not just a slightly better car. Honda didn't invest that much in marketing. Their cars eventually were just plain better!
Honda sold a bazillion Accord sedans last year because people know they are great value. Everyone knows that you can buy a similar model of a competitor's car for about the same price. But, the Accord's quality is a well known FACT.
How about this:
Why would you pay $27,000 for a competitor's product that will break in 5 years, when you could instead, buy a new shiny Honda Accord that will last far beyond 120,000 miles. You will be happy, but, your interest in social standing starts to take hold.
You will start spreading the word about the great value you got in the Accord to make yourself look better.
What the car is like, how LITTLE you paid in relation to the car's cost, and everything else you can think of.
You look better to your friends & they appreciate the information. This has been going on since the beginning of time.
This works the same online as it does in the real world. People recommend your website by linking to it and visitors come to your site from those links.
You won't be able to stop people from linking to your site and visiting it IF it really is excellent.
The reality is that new sites come out & totally wreck the feeble competition in categories that are supposedly too competitive. Every day! Why? Because their site is better, serves their customers better & people spread the news quick.
How does this relate to YOU?...
Pull no punches in making your site so good that visitors are amazed by the quality, the resources, and the experience. If your site is about mortgages, figure out EXACTLY what they want to know, give it to them, and help them pass it on to their friends. That's all.
Make it a site where people love to comeback to & feel good about passing on. Stuff it FULL of amazing content about mortgage brokers, refinancing, and projected payments.
Create a REALLY quality directory on the best mortgage resources online. Build it & gather the information personally. Serve the customer better than anyone else does.
Go the extra mile & get all the extra benefit as a result.
